Getting started
Handling API Failures
Retry logic
- In case of an HTTP 429, 5XX or a timeout please retry the API call
- For each retry wait for 2X the number of seconds of the previous retry until you get an HTTP 200 OK
- For e.g. retry after 1s, 2s, 4s, 8s, 16s, 32s, 64s ... and so on
- You may stop retrying after 24 hours and log the same on your side
- Titan and the partner must tell each other if errors or time-outs continue for more than 1 hour
Rate limits
- Send a maximum of 500 requests per minute to each API from one IP address. Titan can change this limit.
- When you pass the limit, Titan returns HTTP
429:json{ "error":"TooManyRequests", "desc":"Too many requests", "statusCode":429 } - When you get
429, wait, then send the request again with the back-off above. Do not send many requests in parallel.
